This was our second time back at Glenomra and rightly so! I didn't even hesitate in the booking of our B&B for our last evening before heading off to Shannon. Our hosts are always more than friendly and engaging and provide one of the best spreads for breakfast the next morning. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the location to Ennis and all its attractions can't be beat. Every time we go back this area of Ireland, we will be sure to use Glenomra.
Our stay at Glenomra House could not have been better. The price was well worth it for the high quality breakfast and attention to detail throughout the house. Fresh baked scones were the best I had in all of Ireland, seriously! We were able to walk into town, no worries about parking. Truly the most wonderful part of our Glenomra visit was our host, Mary. She welcomed us in with open arms and had us laughing right away. Thank you, Mary!
Lovely B&B - our room was comfortable and nicely appointed, short walk to city center, great breakfast, and of course, beautiful Mary and her husband were excellent hosts. Definitely would stay again and also recommend.
If you are travelling from Shannon Airport, as you leave take the N19, then take the M18 north (Galway). approx 12 km later take Exit 12 - Ennis, stay on N85 for another 2.5km - you will approach the Clareabbey roundabout, take the 3rd exit, R 458 to Town Centre - follow this road for another km, passing 2 smaller roundabouts en route. After the last roundabout you will see a set of traffic lights ahead, and Glenomra is situated on the right hand side of the road before The Apple Green Petrol Station - always feel free to give me a call if you get loose your way, or roll down the window of your car and ask for directions to St Flannans College, a large grey stone building just directly across the road from Glenomra.
