Glenomra House provides excellent bnb accommodation within walking distance of Ennis town centre (8 mins). It is a large modern home, family run, offering its guests an uncompromising level of service for over 20 years - all bedrooms have private bathroom, tea/coffee facilities, T.V/Wi-Fi free of charge, hairdryers - guests have the use of their own private lounge where they can also watch T.V., browse through the large library of books available, relax and enjoy a pre-dinner drink before heading into town where you will discover the atmospheric medieval streets of this market town - home to many top class restaurants & on-street cafes - Ennis is bursting at the seams with pubs featuring live trad music sessions every night of the week ( one of the best reasons to stay here ). Ennis also has its one regional arts centre, Glor, providing excellence in a diverse range of cultural programming ranging from music, theatre, dance, film, visual art and comedy - something for all the family!
I only got to stay for one night [sadly]. Mary Earlie is a delightful lady and runs a superb guesthouse with effortless charm and offers wonderful value for money This is hospitality at it,s very best, and i will certainly be making a return visit.
Unfortunately we were not able to stay at this adorable BandB due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but what I will say is that Mary was the very first person to refund our reservations no questions asked due to the pandemic. We will absolutely stay here in the future when we come. Thank you so much! Stay healthy!
Charming house, clean, impeccable, very welcoming, very well located. A big drawback for our room : the soundproofing. We heard all the noises from the neighbor above, the owners. We were woken up at the same time as them very early and in the evening, we also fell asleep with them late for us.
If you are travelling from Shannon Airport, as you leave take the N19, then take the M18 north (Galway). approx 12 km later take Exit 12 - Ennis, stay on N85 for another 2.5km - you will approach the Clareabbey roundabout, take the 3rd exit, R 458 to Town Centre - follow this road for another km, passing 2 smaller roundabouts en route. After the last roundabout you will see a set of traffic lights ahead, and Glenomra is situated on the right hand side of the road before The Apple Green Petrol Station - always feel free to give me a call if you get loose your way, or roll down the window of your car and ask for directions to St Flannans College, a large grey stone building just directly across the road from Glenomra.
